Low Battery Disconnect

Dead batteries do happen. Even with a brand new alternator, they can happen. Some one leaves the lights or forgets to turn off some powered accessories. Not only does this cause the problems of jump starting the vehicle it also puts strain on the alternator bringing the battery back to life and the drain and recharge cycle takes life out of your battery.

We offer a Battery Discharge Protection System that can stop drains like these and even help protect against parasitic drains caused by wiring irregularities. The system acts as a low battery disconnect by monitoring the battery voltage and shutting down a power relay if voltage drops to near minimum restart voltage.

The basic system consists of a control module, oil pressure switch, wiring harness and a low battery warning light. The oil pressure switch overrides the system if the engine is running.

We can also supply a latching relay that handles the continuous power draw and uses virtually no power itself.
